PPR Pipes for Sugar Factories
PPR Pipes Used in Sugar Factories
PPR (Polypropylene Random Copolymer) pipes are used in sugar factories for water distribution, utility services, and selected industrial fluid applications. Their suitability depends on the operating temperature, pressure, and chemical compatibility of the fluid.
1. Applications of PPR Pipes in Sugar Factories
1. Process Water Supply
Transporting water for sugar manufacturing processes.
Supplying water to different production sections.
Distributing water for equipment washing and cleaning.
2. Cooling Water Systems
Supplying cooling water to machinery and industrial equipment.
Connecting cooling water supply and return lines where operating conditions permit.
Supporting cooling systems for pumps and auxiliary equipment.
3. Compressed Air Systems
Distributing compressed air for pneumatic tools and automation equipment.
Supplying air to pneumatic actuators and selected control systems.
Important: Use only piping specifically rated and approved for compressed air. Do not assume that standard PPR water pipes are suitable for compressed air service.
4. Hot and Cold Water Supply
Distributing hot and cold utility water.
Supplying water to maintenance and cleaning areas.
Connecting utility lines where the pipe's temperature and pressure ratings are suitable.
5. Chemical Dosing Systems
Transporting selected chemicals used in water treatment.
Connecting certain chemical dosing lines when material compatibility has been confirmed.
PPR is not compatible with every industrial chemical, so verify the chemical concentration, temperature, and manufacturer's compatibility chart before installation.
